Nikhil R. Nayak, MD

Dr. Nikhil R. Nayak is a general neurosurgeon with advanced training and specific expertise in spinal disorders. His specialty focus involves minimally invasive, complex, and image-guided spinal surgery for a variety of degenerative, traumatic and oncologic conditions including cervical myelopathy, cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, spinal stenosis, spinal fractures, spine and spinal cord tumors, adult degenerative scoliosis, and revision spinal surgery. He also performs general cranial neurosurgery for trauma, intracranial hemorrhage, hydrocephalus, brain tumors, and other conditions.

Dr. Nayak is a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University and received his medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Pennsylvania and a clinical spine fellowship at Wellington Regional Hospital in New Zealand.

He has co-authored over 25 peer-reviewed publications and has a special interest in tracking functional outcomes following spinal surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and AOSpine.
